We finally got some updated family pictures!  The kids are changing so fast.  Click this link to see the pictures: Family photos 2013

Olivia is doing so well in school.  She got to apply for 2 jobs at school - the nurse assistant, and the gardening club.  They treated it like a real job application.  She had to list 3 reasons why she would be good for this position and sign it.  She especially wanted the nurse job, but would have been happy with either.  She finally got the results last week and she got BOTH jobs!  She is so excited!  She will spend one lunch hour per month for each job.  For the nurse job she will be stocking supply, making sure bandaids and cotton balls, etc are stocked and in the correct places.  She will make sure the ice packs are in the freezer and anything else the school nurse assigns them.
For the garden club she will be helping plant flowers and weed the flower beds.  They made pine cone covered in peanut bird seeds and hung them around the school, and doing all things earthy
She is excited for next year that she can apply for student council.
Olivia is so responsible, and loves to be productive.  In school she is called on often to help the teacher with extra tasks because she LOVES to do extra things that seem like big responsibilities.
She loves to make rubber band bracelets and necklaces and has a business idea to start selling them.  She was telling Daddy a couple of nights ago that she was counting the years and that in 4 years she can babysit and go to mutual.  TOO FAST!  but she is excited to grow up and be responsible.

Lily is also doing so well in school  Her teacher absolutely ADORES her.  Lily has a very light hearted and fun personality.  She finds any reason to laugh and loves to make others laugh and smile.  She has made lots of friends and tells us about her "crush" on Travis, who apparently also has a "crush" on her.  TOO EARLY!  She loves to do her counting homework and is excelling in reading.  She can't "read" yet, but is really far ahead on reading her sight words so the teacher thinks she will be reading sentences soon.
She loves her big sister, who takes really good care of her, and would be lost without her.  When the 2 of them get laughing and dancing it is the best sound in my world!

Toby is in preschool 2 days a week and his teachers rave about him as well.  I always say "He is just happy to be alive."  He has an amazingly calm temperament, and is submissive, and easy to entertain himself.  He is growing so tall!  He just turned 3 and is already in size 5 clothes and wears a size bigger shoe than Lily.  He loves to wrestle and laugh with his 2 big sisters, who absolutely love this little guy.  Lily can't stop kissing him, (which makes him so irritated) and she loves to get on the floor and wrestle and laugh with him.  Olivia loves to give him piggy backs and play chase and freeze tag, and she is really cute at letting him "win" all the time.

I wish I took the time to "journal" sweet moments more often.  I know I will wish I did when I look back on these years that flew by.  I love my sweet sweet forever family and couldn't be a happier mom/wife/woman!.

Olivas Baptism

April was a big month for miss Olivia.  She had an exceptionally special baptism!  The talks from Grandma Tobiasson about baptism, and from her primary teacher last year Sister Carroll about the Holy Ghost were personalized and taught all who listened about the importance and significance of this ordinance and blessing.  Her cousin Makayla sang a special number "If the Savior Stood Beside Me."  Her sweet voice and the message of that song brought us to tears.  So many people from the ward and family came to support her, and those who couldn't be there in person were felt in spirit.

(I obviously have no idea how to post the photos in any kind of order - but here are some highlights of her day)

I am the absolute WORST at keeping this thing updated.  I wanted to post some back to school pictures and realilzed that I haven't done the graduation post yet.  So here it is for my darlingest sweet Livi-loo!

All dressed up just before the graduation started
 Sitting cutely in her place!
Her amazing teacher Mrs. Richie!  She was so supportive and positive...even came to Olivias birthday party!
 I love your purple hat!
One of her most favorite friends~Kash!

Miss Olivia: You have grown and changed so much this past year!  I will miss the little 5 year old but I am so excited to see you learn and play as you start your 1st grade year...losing teeth, reading on your own, and becoming more independant.  I love you my darling sweet.

Awaken?

Can you find the humor in this picture?

I came across this picture that we took during our Oregon trip last summer. We had taken the girls to the duck pond and saw this car parked...we couldn't resist!

Preschool Graduation!

(I cannot figure out how to make these posts stay together...so be patient with how much space these always take up. I get it all pretty and then when it posts, it adds a billion spaces between things. ugh)

Sweet Lily! Big girl!

Sitting so nicely next to one of her preschool friends. Isn't he darling!?

Her teachers (Miss Julie and Miss Heidi)

Lily, with proud momma and brother. (he was dreaming of proud he was)

This is the cutest kind of graduation ever! Lily looked so cute (except that she would only wear this aristocats THERMAL top instead of a dressed up outfit) but her smile made up for it. She did a great job today, singing the songs, sitting nice and still while her teacher talked and cooperating for pictures. Even though she is going again next year, I still teared up for a minute thinking of how big she is getting and that she is hitting this point already!

Her teachers are amazing! They put so much work into making this a memorable ceremony and compiling all of the work from the year. They even included a CD of all the pictures they took throughout the year and a picture magnet to put on my fridge of my little graduate.

One of the things they did each month was to ask each child what they were thankful for. They gave the list to us at the end of each month but she included the compilation in her memory book. Here are some of the things Lily was thankful for this year:

January 2011 - Ice cream, purple, treats, snowman, Maggie, horses, trees February - My puppy, Maggie, snowman, ice cream, Christmas, spiders, Miss Julie

March - Bugs, Miss Heidi, glue, Miss Julie, cookies, policeman, snowman, bikes

April - Toby, Maggie, Miss Julie, My Dad, bananas, Blayne, dog, Kai

May - Bugs, Miss Heidi, my brudder, John, Kai, Ellie

I am head over heels in love with these little people!!! Olivia has her kindergarten graduation next week. I heard one of the songs they are working on to sing and I started crying. I want them to stay this way so badly so I cry thinking these moments are coming and going way too fast. Cory wrote another song on the guitar for them and the chorus says it exactly! "...I want you to know that I want you to grow, but I wish you could stay, just this way."
